Hello, this is my first build so I don't really know much. I was wondering if there is a separate base or something that I've gotta buy along with this cpu cooler or does it just snap right onto the mobo? Also, feel free to review it if you've got any info or experience with it...

This cooler won't handle a 6600k/7600k
And I doubt you'll see advantages over the stock cooler with the Pentium

Agreed with above, it's hardly any better than the stock Intel heatsink. If you are on a really tight budget these 2 are much better:
