Im using 16GB ram ( 2X8GB) of Corsair ( Corsair Vengeance LPX Bus 2400 14-16-16-31 ) , and when i Enable XMP profile in bios , It's makes my Cpu become unstable and lagging when gaming . Im overclocking my i5 7600k to 4.4ghz on GIGABYTE-Z170X GAMING 3 - which is passed 8 hours stress test with AIDA64 with XMP profile is Disable . So i want to ask is this is my RAM problem , or mainboard or my CPU can't handle ram or somethings ? Is there any resolution to Enable XMP profile and still keep the CPU stable .

Thank you

The CPU doesn't become unstable, the memory is obviously just not handling the new speed in combination with the CPU Leave XMP disabled, it won't give you much performance increase anyway.

So in the future , if i buy a ram with bus 3000 or more , i can't use all of RAM power ?

That doesn't really help.. He obviously wants the speeds he payed for despite the small performance increase.

@OP, Go into the BIOS and manually set the speeds and timings yourself in accordance with what the XMP Profile recommends. So disable XMP, set Frequency to 2400 MHz, timings to 14-16-16-31 and you shouldn't have to touch the voltages since according to the Corsair website, that kit can run those speeds on the default Voltages. Hope this helps :)

I changed the RAM timing on BIOS like it's write on my Ram stick and like u said ( 14-16-16-31 ) . When i get in game everything ( the game stable , FPS , keyboard lightning effect ) are good but whenever i ALT+TAB out to web browsing or change the lightning effect of my keyboard then back to my game, it's become lagging and keyboard lightning lagging either ( or whenever the CPU work 100% ) and even XMP turn on or off . Can you have a look at my CPU-Z and tell me if something wrong . Much appreciate
