Asus z270e No boot Yellow dram led

Just recently put my computer together and opon starting for the first time I get a dram led error on my mobo. I checked the cpu socket for bent pins and they look fine and I tried to start it with only one stick for ram which still did not work even after resetting the clock. Can't even get a boot screen or anything. Anyone have any ideas?

Specs: asus z270e
I7-7700k
Asus rog 1080ti OC
(4x8gb) ddr4 3000 corsair vengeance led
Corsair 100I v2 water cooler
Evga g2 1000w
1tb evo ssd

Here is a link to your MB QVL. The kits listed have been tested so they should work. GSKill and Corsair are good quality.
You should also update your Bios to 0906 to address new DDR4 RAM.

If it's the DRAM_LED then the issue is your RAM.
You have OC RAM as your CPU officially supports DDR4-2133/2400MHz.
32GB @ 3000MHz is not guaranteed to work as this is not the JDEC standard and your XMP profile will not work. It also puts quite a strain on the IMC.

If it continues and you can't access Bios to Tweak your Primary Timings and Voltage, then I suggest you return the kit you have for a lower frequency kit chosen from the MB QVL that have been tested.

I also heard that many people had problems with the motherboard itself being faulty and having to RMA it in order to get it to boot. Also what ram would you recommend that wouldn't encounter problems with this board?

Please be advised that DIMM slot 1 on this motherboard is the 3rd slot from the CPU. If you are unable to boot, please ensure you've tried having only 1 stick in this slot. If you intend to have another stick, it goes in the slot closest to the CPU.

The manual disagrees, but YOU are right. With just one memory stick in the 3rd from CPU it booted for me. Put the 2nd in the one closest to the CPU and not it isn't.. :-(

Look carefully at the diagram in your MB Manual (section 1.1.4).
Dimm slots are named A1,A2,B1,B2. A1 is closest to the CPU.
If you have a single module then it is placed in slot A2.
If you have two modules then they are placed in A2 and B2.
Ensure the modules are clipped in and pushed down properly.

OH I did look at it VERY Closely about 100 Times. But the ONLY time it booted was when EITHER stick was in B1.

I have this exact same issue. Won't boot with 2 8gb sticks of corsair vengeance ram but will boot with either stick by itself in B1. Amazon is sending me another motherboard. Hope it goes better than the last time.

Amazon sent me out another motherboard and this time both sticks of ram worked. Apparently Asus must have some issues with this motherboard as I've seen posts on different forums with this same issue. Sucks as generally Asus is pretty good.
