Hey guys i just wanna ask if a motherboard with a single pci-e x16 slot will work if i buy an adapter for pci x1 or x4 slots and install to my board. ?

After i install the adapter will it be working if i add another video card to that adapter ? (Pci x4 or x1 slots converted to pci-e x16) so that i can put another vdeo card with a pci-e x16 slot.

Im thinking about crossfiring a board with a single video card slot which is the pci-e x16 slot . So im just wondering if i buy an adapter and put it on my pci x4 or x1 slots that will convert into pci-e x16 slot .

Will it work if i installed another video card in that adapter ? Im planning about setting my pc for dual monitors.

Here are my specs:
Case: tecware edge
Mobo: MSI A68hm-e33 V2
Processor: amd a10-5800k
1st Video card: rx480 radeon
2nd video card: rx480 radeon

Opinions, comments and advices is highly appreciated :) thanks

Solution
It will not work. First of all, that board does not support Crossfire. Second of all, even if it did, it would stink because of the choked-off input to the second card. The board has
• 1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slot
• 1 x PCIe 2.0 x1 slot
• 1 x PCI slot
