Current PC can be found in my signature and here.
My current needs/goals:
1) A Mini-ITX rig for college next year (Small dorms in USF where I'm getting my CS Degree)
2) Better graphics solution for 1440p @100Hz ( Overclocked from 60Hz )
3) I'm not a huge gamer, I mostly do other things, but I like my games to be beautiful and I don't mind 60fps if it means better graphics in some games.
What I can do:
I can wait for VEGA ( I have no issue doing this )
I don't want to spend a ton of money, maybe $700 max, but I'd really just like to just spend a lot less...
I can sell my GTX 970's for about $180 each and that will offset the majority of the cost of a 1080Ti, so 700 + (700*.095 tax) - 360 will net me $406 out of pocket for this GPU. This might not be the best path so weigh in.
As far as cases go, I want something very compact due to the very small desks provided at USF. The Ncase M1 seems like a fantastic option, but it is a bit pricey and the node 202 doesn't have the same drive support... I am fine with cramming a SSD into anywhere it will fit ( Velcro is great ).
As far as CPU's and motherboards go, I obviously need a new Mobo, but I don't think that my i7-4770k needs a upgrade.
