Hi guys,

We usually have 7 people connected to the router at the same time, pretty much all the time and we are heavy users, YouTube, gaming, streaming, downloading, uploading, and so on...
So I'm thinking to upgrade my current wireless N router to AC router.
The point is that so we can have uninterrupted service.

The dilemma is that some of our devices only support N backward wireless connection.

If I have AC wireless adapter, and my friends using N wireless adapters.. will I (with my AC wireless adapter) still get interrupted because we are mixing N and AC signal?

Thanks guys! I super appreciate your help!!

Are you both on 2.4Ghz, both on 5Ghz or one of each ? Do you have more than enough WAN bandwidth to fully satisfy both devices? Is this a congested WIFI environment? All of these things will contribute to performance.

A $1000 Cisco business WIFI system on a 1Mbit DSL will still suck with multiple devices connected.
