Hello & greetings,

I have following components in my pc :

1.) i7-4770k
2.) GA-B85M-D3H-A mobo
3.) 16 gb (8x2) 1333 Mhz kingston hyperx ram.

Graphics card :

I want to ask that i don't have a gpu currently. Before i had a gtx760 amp edition 2 gb which is dead now. So i want to know which one to buy for best gaming performance with above cpu/mobo/ram combi?

I didn't played well so called good games before just work with my pc of editing and project work but now i want it to be the best gaming rig i can make it to with current mobo and processor.
So please suggest me how to make it so.

I can change/upgrade anything in my rig but the processor and mobo. So please suggest me about ram and graphics card.

SSD :

I have 4 TB HDD of WD : two 1 TB green and one 2 TB blue.
My windows os is on one of the 1tb green WD HDD.

What should i do to to my storage setup to compliment my so-called in-process best gaming rig?

Which ssd to buy? And how to connect it to the rig?
(Sorry i dont know the details of my mobo supportibility to ssd and the related pci stuff)

Please help me for this rig for it to play games available now & which will be coming for at-least coming 5 years.

Thank-you very much if you could help me out in this issue as i have less to no knowledge in these sort of stuffs.

Well depending on your resolution and monitor, I would probably say the GTX 1060 6GB or RX 580 8GB is your best bet for now. As far as SSD, the Samsung or Crucial is probably the best brand to get right now. However, SSDs do not improve game play, just loding times, so don't expect improvement there. Lastly, your motherboard is not talking advantage of your CPU. That is an unlocked CPU, yet you are not able to overclock. However, that is probably okay in your case.

Please tell me are there different ways to connect ssd to the mobo to increase efficiency?
and also cany you explain about the part in which you said about my mobo not taking advantage of my processor?
and lastly i forget to mention that i don,t have a cooling system yet for my rig. Please suggest me if i have to add it then which one? or else not? and also the efficient and cheap thermal paste to go with the processor and gpu.

Thank you.

Update : my monitor is lg 22en33 with 1920*1080 resolution. Also what should i do about the ram section?

For you? I would recommend the Hyper 212 EVO. The reason I say it's not taking advatange is because You should have a Z87 or Z97, and instead you have a B85. Which isn't bad, but doesn't allow for overclocking. But that's okay! you don't need to oveclock to enjoy good games. Artic Silver is usually my go to thermal paste, but the Hyper 212 EVO comes with thermal paste.

There is only one way to connect an SSD..with SATA cables. You can use M.2, but those are a bit more expensive and probably will not see a big increase in performance.

Other than that, you should be golden.

EDIT: Just seen your edit..your RAM is fine.

I am really sorry, but just just to confirm
16 gb 1333mhz ram will be enough for the games available now and for upcoming five years?
And what about the cooling system? Should i get one or no?

Yes, I said you should get the Hyper 212 EVO since you are not going to overclock. The 212 EVO is a cooler that's under $30 and really effective. Please do not use your computer without a proper cooler.

16GB 1333mhz RAM will be just fine when gaming. You can look for 16GB 1600mhz, but you will be wasting your money since the improvement will be small.

Sorry i thought you were suggesting a ssd.
with your suggestions the rig has been completed atleast theoretically at the moment.

So, just last any tips tips and maintenence suggestions regarding any component mentioned in the thread will be helpful and i would be grateful for that.(like what to change paste and some small small things to maintain them for years to come so they dont do down)
It will be my last reply and question.
Please answer/explain it to me. and thankyou for all your time and help.

Well, you shouldn't have to change out the thermal paste. It's built to last for a while. Also, get a can of air spray. This will allow you to get the dust out of your PC. I usually dust once a month, not to mention I have a Window, so I have no choice but to maintain it.

Other than that, when building it, stay off of carpet. If you do have only carpet, try to get a anti-ESD strap. They say you don't need it, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Also try to get a screw driver with a magenitc tip, it shouldn't hard the computer parts. Lastly, take your time and don't force stuff in. Everything should be smooth and fit.

Another thing to consider is getting dust/fan filters for your intake fans since they are cheap and really help keep dust out of the case. My RVZ01a came with filters and since that point, I won't build another machine without them.

I searched the net for gtx 1060 but the ratings for 3gb version was higher than the 6 gb one.
Please confirm, specifically which one do i buy to make my rig perform its best for gaming? as it was showing different names for the same graphic card like msi evga gigabyte etc .

Anything from NewEgg/Amazon will work as well; as long as they match the case fan dimensions (120mm, etc).

Those are different manufacturers... same essential cards... very similar performance... slight differences in approach and build... people argue and compare the single percentage differences constantly between them. You'll not notice it while playing games. Just pick which one fits your budget and you like... unless looking to max overclock things, and that is an entirely different set of needs.
