Trying to install Windows 10 help

This is a first time post. I just built a new pc and i put in the flash drive and it won't boot. I tried setting the drive to first but my dad believed that the mobo is outdated

specs: i7 6700k
asus z170 pro pga 1511
asus gtx 1070 dual fan oc

Your motherboard is only last years model, its not outdated at all. UNless he means the bios and that shouldn't stop it installing with that CPU, only if you had a 7 series CPU would that be a problem.

Your manual

go into the bios and on the boot tab (in advanced view) turn off fast boot if its enabled. with it enabled, the PC might ignore any USB devices attached except keyboard and mouse
make sure USB (if a choice called UEFI USB is there, choose it) is top of boot priority

did you make the flash drive or buy it with windows on it?
