My PC is having this problem for about 8 months now. At first the reboots were less but recently they are more frequent.
I recently cleaned the motherboard (found some moisture on it). This reduced the frequency of the reboots but has not totally removed it. By using AIDA extreme's system stability test, I found out that the pc is shutting down (rebooting) after CPU reaches around 86c meanwhile GPU is around 80c which according to me is high but should not be shutting down the system. I did the memtest with both sticks on and I did fine for 4 hours with no error.
My specs:
Since the reboots are less frequent after cleaning I really don't think it is the PSU. Can anybody please tell me what should I do?
I found many threads with similar problems but none had temps as I high as I have, is that a problem?
I am really frustrated because I am a college student on a limited budget and cannot afford to have replacements available so readily!
I have underclocked the CPU but the problem still stands (sigh)...
