My Lenovo Ultrabook's old hard disk suffered from many bad sectors, so I replaced it with a new one.
As soon as I installed the new harddisk, it showed no errors in the storage test of Lenovo Hardware diagnostics test. So I went ahead to install WIndows 10. But as soon as I installed Windows 10, I found it running really slow, and freezing frequently. When I opened the task manager, it showed 100% disk usage. So, I ran check for error tool in drive properties. Then a notification appeared to restart to repair the disk errors. I restarted my Ultrabook, and ran the Lenovo Hardware diagnostics test again and boom! It failed 2 out of three tests, and one test was not applicable. I also ran Ubuntu SMART Self-test and it failed too!
All I did was install Windows, and it ruined my harddisk. I have no idea what is causing my harddisk to fail!
Please help.
