i'm going for a dual boot of win7 and 10 on separate drives. but heard there can be issues getting win7 on an M.2, especially a nvme (i guess it's not as hard on a sata?).

so assuming we get win7 on the m.2, are there things that win7 won't take advantage of with the m.2, or won't benefit from?

anyone know the exact issues with getting Windows 7 on an M.2? thanks

the mobo is a asus z270 maximus code. the Micro Center tech called and said he was having trouble installing win7 on the M.2 (samsung 969 evo 500gb). so i guess they're gonna put win10 on the M.2, and 7 on an 500gb ssd i have. shame as i know for the next year or 2 anyway, i'll use win7 more
