I am in need of a motherboard (if there is one) that supports 2x8GB sticks or 4x4GB of DDR2 and has a 775LGA socket preferably a P or G version Intel chip-sets. I have looked and found boards from Gigabyte (GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R), MSI (MSI MS-7345 P35 Neo2) and ASUS (ASUS P5Q-EM) but they only support up to 8GB. Getting some help finding a board that has these requirements (if at all) would be great.

Only ASUS P5Q-EM does support 16GB officially. https://www.asus.com/ae-en/Motherboards/P5QEM/specifications/

Because at that time the RAM was made in 2GB ( maximum ), either 4GB or 8GB did not exist yet. So other lga775 MB may or may support the 16GB until you try it out.

I think you may just buy the ASUS P5Q-EM on ebay, amazon, etc. https://www.ebay.com/p/ASUS-P5Q-EM-LGA775-Socket-Intel-Motherboard/74111458

So I amuse that these boards require 4x4GB sticks instead of 2x8GB sticks. Because I came across 2x8GB Kingston sticks that happened to be DDR2 and I'm really not to sure what to do with them. But thanks for the help. Seems as though ASUS is really the only manufacturer that has support for 16GB at the time.
