Is the H55 enought to cool a GTX 970?

So I just watched Jays's latest video and that gave me an idea: so next month I'll upgrade my cooler from a H55 to a H100i v2 and I'll have the H55 as a spare cooler then.

What if I mounted the H55 to the 970 using a NZXT adaptor and made use of the H100i v2's fans (that are stronger than the ones on the H55) on the H55 (assuming I'd use the current H55 fans on the H100i v2), would it be enought to outcool the stock cooler on the G1 Gaming variant?

Hope that makes sense ^

Yes, my CPU is a 7600K running at a mere 4Ghz, I asked because on the video Jay used a similar looking AIO, the H55 is inferior but the push-pull fans would close the gap and he cooled a 1080 on the video which has higher tdp than the 970 so I thought that maybe the H55 would be enought...
