OK, so I'm running a older laptop, just out of warranty and decided to upgrade to Windows 10, added, I always use Bitdefender total security as well.
The Win10 and BD'17 TS combo is a operational nightmare on this laptop. Boot times that take up to 15 minutes and the slightest multitasking making it freeze/lag, even opening the task manager to force close something is straining.
So I decided to do the obvious RAM upgrade...

I stripped the laptop, finally got to the RAM and swapped the 2GB for a 8GB. I finally got everything together and tried the power button, NOTHING happens...

Stripped to swap back old RAM, remove backup battery to clear the CMOS, all that stuff, but no activity at all... It worked before I stripped, so ANY ideas???

Solution
OK, so I struggled and struggled and after a new soldering iron, solder and my old trusty multimeter I got the power switch and wiring loom fixed. (YOU NEED A MULTIMETER, Trust me)
Laptop Fixed!!!!
New RAM gave no trouble in first boot and runs like a new Laptop!!!
Hope this tread helps someone...

Figured out the power button circuit board broke off from the wiring loom.
Made a mistake when I stripped it the 1st time... When you disassemble you have to take out the keyboard before unclipping the casing... Will try to solder it back on, fingers crossed...
