I'm building my first pc for gaming, can anyone tell me if these components all work together?]

Everything will work, but if you are building this, I would suggest either getting the Z170 to pair it with the 6600K, or get the 7600K and pair it with ithe Z270. Other than that, it looks fine to me. Are you buidling this, or is it pre-made?

Side note, I usually don't do Seagates as they haven't the most reliable, but that's just my expereience (PCs and Macs)

My budget's about $1500, it's being built from scratch, and i'm purchasing parts in the U.S. from New Egg. Thank you for these replies. On your recommendations I changed out the 980 for

EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition

and the z270 mobo for

GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z170X-Gaming 7

Feeling much better about this now - thank you!
