Ever since I upgraded my PC I have been running into so many problems I didn't have before. For example: Screen tearing, micro stutter/stutter, choppy gameplay even above 60 fps, if fps drops to 59 it feels like 20, Overall FPS does NOT feel smooth, varying ranges of FPS on certain games, on low settings I get the same FPS as Ultra. Just a whole bunch of * after I decide to upgrade my GPU,CPU and RAM for $600. Basically my PC has turned into a piece of *. Thanks!

Phew. No, I didn't. it's just that I will lose all my files and such. I can though, if you think that will fix the problem. I'm getting some thermal paste and a CPU cooler on Sunday so i'm going to install that and basically re-build my PC as a last resort and do a fresh Windows install. If that doesn't work then i'm just gonna return all my parts and try to sell my PC to build a new one.

No *. I have done like 3 other posts on this problem going into full detail and no one wants to help me. What am I supposed to do?

I tried to get recommendations but no one seems to want to really help me (like go in depth and try different things) And no, I forgot to remove drivers from old GPU before installing my new one, but I did install DDU and did a clean boot and installed all the drivers again. I went from a GTX 750 Ti > GTX 1060 6GB, i3-6100 > i5-6500, and 8GB Ripjaws DDR4 2133Mhz > 16GB Corsair DDR4 2133Mhz. Ya know sometimes I just wish that there wouldn't be any problems with technology in general. It just seems that there are so many things that can go wrong and it gives me a headache. I have been researching my problems for the past 2 days and can't come up with anything. I have gone through and tried all of the solutions, which none have worked. Also, I am one of those people that can't live with problems - I have to solve them immediately because I can't deal with the stress of it. Any input would be hugely appreciated.

To start, lose the vulgarity.
Second....calm down a bit.

Yes.
That would be a great place to start.

You changed/upgraded a bunch of parts (unknown since you haven't told us), and left the original OS install in place>

A clean OS install is the first thing you should have done.

Yeah sorry. It's just that this thing has my head in a twist and it has me really stressed..
I'm going to do a fresh install now, i'll keep you posted.

I'm confused. You said you did not remove the old drivers, but you said you used DDU. Which one is it? Like everyone else is saying, do a CLEAN system install and re-install Windows.

Yup, I didn't remove the old drivers until I installed my new one.

Just finished the re-install. I have a Gigabyte GA-H110M-A Micro ATX mother board

Ok, make sure all drivers download from the manufacturer and not Windows. Report back.

So far so good. I can still feel a little choppiness without v-sync on but it might just be me. I just purchased an SSD and im gonna go try out some more games..

Oh wow, should have look thru the part. Well the reason it seems "choppy" is because you have 60hz. Even though the card can handle pumping out more than 60 frames a second, you monitor cannot handle displaying it to you since it's only refreshing at 60hz. If you had a 144hz monitor or even a 100hz, then it would look a bit smoother.

But I still don't understand because when I had my 750 Ti I would easily go over 60fps in some games and none of this would happen. The re-install didn't help much. It's still choppy without v-sync and i'm still getting screen tearing. I think it might be my GPU so i'm going to think about RMA'ing it.

it's not your gpu. i get screen tearing and i have a g4560 cpu and an rx 480 8gb.. your system is pushing frames faster now than it was before. that's why people go for these ultra fast monitors. i personally play on a native 720p tv that is older than god .it's more likely to be your display .

is there any chance you could make a video of the choppyness ? give us an exact picture of what we are talking about in terms of distortion etc .
