Hello everyone~
Today I took apart my 20GE0002US 11e Yoga Chromebook to fix an issue with the trackpad. In the process though, I accidentally removed what I found out to be the CPU cooler. It's a fanless unit, but I hadn't expected the cooling sheet to be just a piece of black-painted metal. There is a purple-colored thermal pad on the cooling sheet itself, and that is what was connected to the die. A few sticky fibers came off of the pad during the accidental removal. The CPU it uses is a Celeron N3150.
My question is, what should I do? This pad appears to be rather custom and I've heard that you can't just put the thing back on there and expect there to be no issues with cooling.
