Hello I have a gigabyte ax370 gaming 5 and after updating and enabling xmp it wont post, so for the mean time using back up bios, how do I un update it I guess so I can go back into bios 1 and another thing can I use corsiar ram with g.skil both are 3000mhz but only difference is latency one being c15 and other c16

Solution

I never implied that you should change anything in your backup bios. But if you switch to the bad bios and hit the clear Cmos button then it should work again. This should reset the settings on the bios and allow it to boot. Given the bios isn't starting due to overclocked memory settings.

When you are set to use that Bios you should be able to press the Clear CMOS button to reset the bios configuration on that chip. Using different sets of memory is usually not recommended and at the moment Ryzen has a lot of issues with memory so using different memory chips is probably not a good idea. There is an upcoming AGESA update that is due later this month that should alleviate memory issues so I would retry your XMP settings at that time.

The rumored AGESA version is 1006 so that should be listed in the BIOS description for the upcoming update until then try a lower memory setting like 2666 or 2400.
