Hi there, I'm working on someone's computer, and I'm getting this strange error every time the system starts. It doesn't seem to affect anything after, but it's really confusing me. It reads:

"There was a problem starting C:\microsoft\lib\inc\nvidia.ocx

The specified module could not be found."

I have looked, and it's correct, there's no nvidia.ocx there. Just two files; one named cc.bat, and xx.js . The thing that's troubling me is that this system doesn't have an nvidia card, it's just Intel HD graphics... I'd like to just get rid of this error if I can. Any suggestions?

Solution
uninstall any related nvidia software installed on your pc

also you could run ccleaner and check in tools/startup if there is mention to a call of a nvidia tool or anything related, kill that entry, disable it or delete it if you wish

some old mainboards could have nvidia related chipset things like ethernet cards, soundcards, chipset stuff, that in reality you don't need so remove them form the startup should help at least to remove the annoying message
