Good day all,

I'm planning my next build and have a general question about air flow and cooling.

Relevant Specs:
Phanteks P400S Tempered Glass
Intel 7600k (will be overclocked to ~4.8Ghz)
Corsair H100i V2 240mm
ASUS Strix 980

Due to clearance issues at the top of the case I will be forced to mount the 240mm radiator at the front of the case, and use two 120mm fans at the top of the case.

My understanding is that I will get better CPU cooling performance by using the front radiator to intake air, and exhaust through the top, as using the fresh ambient air to cool the loop is more effective than using heated air inside the case.

Here is my mental dilema:

This all sounds fine and dandy but the fact that my STRIX 980's fans will be blowing down toward the bottom of the case, this seems like it would disrupt airflow within the case. I'll have air coming in through the front and exhausting through the top, and then the 980's hot air will be stuck at the bottom of the case so to speak.

Are my concerns valid?

The optimal overall case cooling solution seems to be (if my above thinking is correct) pulling air in through the top of the case with 2 120mm fans, the 980 blowing down, and exhausting through the front radiator, however, that will surely increase CPU temps.

Is there a best case scenario solution or am I overthinking this too much?
