Lag on other windows/programs while playing games (Dual monitors on Windows 10)

So just 3 days ago I started noticing a bit of lag on my second monitor (watching a youtube video) while playing games such as Rocket League and Smite.

I have a high-end PC to prevent things like this to happen, but after owning it for 6 months it has now all of sudden started doing this.

Example: I'm playing a game and I'm about to record/stream with OBS. When I press record and then tab into my game, OBS starts lagging (not being prioritized). I will then tab back into OBS and on the preview ALL lag in the game is gone again. I also can not see this lag on my monitor playing the game, ONLY in OBS = PC focuses on the game only?

I have, as mentioned, not had a problem with doing this as I have done it on multiple occasions before with no problem, but now it's become a nightmare.

I have tried prioritizing in task manager, assigning cores, taking out 2nd monitor (still lags on minimized programs), reinstalled NVIDIA drivers, updated Windows, changing refresh rate on screens, defragmented, several PC cleanses and uninstalled GeForce Experience.

Side notes: CPU never goes above 30% usage and Memory stays below 40% (even when on high/realtime priority)

PC Specs:
GTX1080 GPU
Intel Core i7-6800K 3.40GHz Processor
32GB RAM

Any help is appreciated.

Just tried disabling it, didn't change anything either. Thank you for your input though, didn't know about that!

How much RAM is Windows reporting? All 32GB? If not, that may be your issue. I've also noticed that OBS seems to be a very heavy program (compared to other recording/streaming software) for some reason. I tried recording The Division on my 980Ti and the recorded video is an absolute slideshow; however, it seems to record War Thunder just fine.

Yeah it's showing all 32GB and only about 30% is in use when recording/streaming, it's just annoying and weird that it has worked with no problems at all for 5 months and from 1 day to another it's laggy as hell.

That's the divisions fault not OBS.
You'll have to cap OBS to 30fps recordings for TDiv.

Ah, noted, thanks. I'll do that if I ever play The Division again. I hate the insane power gap that even being one level below the enemies brings.
