I recently installed a new motherboard, and it was working smoothly. Then it began to freeze up while playing games on steam. It usually only happens while playing more intensive games, but the other day it froze while playing golf with friends. Originally I thought it was a problem with steam because I could still play titanfall 2 on ultra settings, but then it froze while playing battlefield 1 and doesn't freeze on COD MW2. I figured it was my graphics card or cpu overheating but i installed software to tell me when it was getting close to overheating, and neither of them are overheating. I also checked to see if all of my drivers and BIOS were up to date.

PC specs:
CPU: Intel i7 6700k
GPU: ZOTAC GTX 1070
RAM: 8GB Kingston HyperX fury
MB: Gigabyte GA-z170M-D3H
PS: Thermaltake 650W
Windows 10 64 bit

Any solutions?

Update: I have updated my BIOS version, ran monitoring software, checked the windows log for errors, I eventually got a blue screen to appear but i fixed that problem and it didn't change anything. While using HWinfo64, when my pc locked up it acted as if the computer was turned off or disconnected, the only thing i thought was strange in the final readouts was that the c3 c7 and c2 residencies were at 0%. My psu also doesn't seem to be the problem as all the voltage levels are where they should be and decreasing the power draw for my components didn't affect it.

Also I tried taking out the graphics card and using the integrated graphics, the only game i could run was golf with friends and i couldn't get it to freeze but when I put the card back in I have yet to get it to freeze on golf with friends again
