More vram is not going to help such a weak gpu. Same with a 740. It's a fine pairing with the cpu. It's not like a 730 is powerful.

A 730 is a lot better than a 8400gs. Like 10x better but that's like saying a civic is 10x better than a geo metro. It's still a low end 3 year old gpu so you really can't expect anything more than low on 3 year old games. It does play bf4 (4 years old) supposedly med 1080p but that was actually a well optimized game. There's too many games to list honestly. You can just google the game you want to play + gt 730 and you can probably figure out if it'll play it.

any game

the question is how slow it will work with those games

this is not a gaming gpu, it can be used for games on low resolution on low settings, especially for the 1 gb of ram, 2 gbs of ram is very little this days, 1 is well, not enough for most games on medium, especially on textures

the gou you nention to have is ancent and inadequate for any odern game

i wouldn't buy a gt 730, if the price is a concern, there are cheap gt 740 that are a bit better and usually comes with 2 gbs of gddr5

the other limiting factor you have in your pc is the cpu, which is a bit slow and only two cores, made 11 years ago

Actually i'm just getting the needed upgrades of this pc
then afterwards i'll build a gaming pc
this pc build, the old one is still ok for browsing and i can use it for old school video games like command and conquer, GTA SA or VC, and GBA and PSP Emulators

That's a dual core, and it's slow, not even 2ghz. So that right there limits you to the least CPU intensive games. As for the 730 itself, the number one thing to know is it's meant for LOW resolution. I mean 800x600 would be ideal, 720p would be the absolute maximum if you're willing to give up lots of framerate.

Stick to 2d games, or old 3d games, at low resolution and you should do alright.
