I have a Dell Inspiron M521R-5525 Laptop with AMD A4-4300M CPU, will the AMD A10-5750M be compatible. Have 8 GB. Ram with a Samsung 850EVO 1 TB SSD. Have already bought one but, it would not work for some reason or the other.
Even if they're both physically the same socket, your BIOS still needs to have the microcode to recognize the newer CPU, and most OEMs don't bother adding support for new CPUs since it's such a small minority that ever replace them.

Thankyou for taking the time to answer but, what is the Microcode and how do i get one.
It's not something you can get. Dell needs to make your laptop compatible with new CPUs and they really have no reason to do so.
OK Ecky, thanks but i have no idea what you mean, unless it is to say, the AMD A10-5750M is NOT compatible in my laptop. So i wasted my time and money buying one.
