1100 or so right now. I just want to get the basics and be able to upgrade to 4k as I get the money. my current laptop has about had it. takes about 3 hours to render a 20 minutes HD video.

Also i am using my old Antec 900 from an old build.

That has alot better specs..lol..
I thought Intel works better for video rendering. I have never really messed with AMD. I don't know a whole lot about them.

AMD's CPUs up until this year hadn't been updated since 2012 and were absolutely dreadful, even when released.
Their new Ryzen CPUs though destroy Intel for rendering and video work, giving the performance of a 6900k for less than half the price.
Give it a nice little OC and you'll have fantastic performance.

Only benefit x99 gives atm is PCIE lanes atm.

I see the motherboard you selected only supports RAM up to 2667 and you picked 3200. It this overkill for the motherboard? Will i still benefit with getting the 3200 or better off finding a similar motherboard that supports 3200?

Yeah my bad, accidentally picked the wrong board, same with the SSD! :)
My mistake.
