Need setup to run a a Fan and Power supply with out Motherboard

Hi I am in the UK can anyone recommend the right components to get a fan running with out a Motherboard.

I am looking to make a Jerky/Biltong box so I need a good flow of air from a fan(s), I do not want to start playing around with DIY wiring so I want to use PC components.

If use I PC power supply I am thinking that unless the mainboard tells the PSU unit that its on the fans wont run so am looking for recommendations for the right components to simply run a fan as soon as the power supply is turned on?

You can jumper the PWR_ON wire (usually green) to any ground (usually black) wire. Basically this, but permanent.

However, you're wasting a lot of cash, space, and power to have the PSU running.

Buy a cheap 12V plugpack, 1A or more, and connect it to the fan. Easy as pie.

Thanks for that you pointed me in the right direction, I found you can get quite easily a USB to 4pin adapter, which does everything I need.
