Is my 1080ti a bad overclocker? Should I exchange it?

I just bought the MSI gaming x 1080ti and man I love this card. But I have been getting real crappy results when trying to overlock. I have seen people get stable OC's at +100 mhz core clock and reaching 2025~ mhz stable.

But mine on the other hand can't get stable past +55 core and +300 mem. Is this bad? and should I just exchange it? Or just chalk it up as a loss to the silicone lottery?

Like you said, OC is a lottery. Sometimes you have good luck, sometimes don't. Depends on you, in my country exchanging it because it doesn't overclock isn't allowed. But, if you don't feel satisfied AND its allowed to return it, then just do it.

BTW, GTX 1080Ti (without OC) is a really good, good card.
