My external HDD turned into a windows bootable, can I recover my files in it?

So my friend turned my 1TB external harddisk into a windows bootable so I can install windows on a new PC, but now it turned into 30GBs, is there any way for me to recover the stuff that was lost?

Before you try MiniTool Partition Wizard version 9.1 or any other DIY partition and/or data recovery, make a full image or a clone of this HD onto any other external HD of equal or real close size using any usb or dvd boot containing Macrium Reflect, AOMEI Backupper, EaseUS ToDo, or anything similar.
