Computer blue screened AND turns off after a few minutes of running.

I have a relatively fresh build, just put it together 2 weeks ago. It's been running completely fine until last night I was watching a YouTube video, my screen froze up and then I shut down. After that I hit blue screen, and I used the fresh install work around but now my computer shuts off and pulses power to the mobo/fans whenever I try to install w10.

I've seen a few threads where the computer turning off after a few minutes could either be the PSU or the cpu. But when this issue started I froze and blue screened.
So far I haven't seen anyone get blue screened at the same time, it's impossible to do a fresh install of w10 because when I run the USB install and it starts going, the PC shuts off, and I hear the fans start rotating on and off like they're getting pulses of power.

(Note that I'm pretty sure the PC stays on longer if I don't try to install or repair Windows.)

It seems I have a mix of two problems coincidentally, or there's something different going on, like my HDD.

Specs:
535W power supply (about 2 years old, I didn't bother replacing this until I mount my Radeon r9 280x and new fans. Currently using a Radeon HD 6770)
2 x8gb Corsair DDR4 RAM
B350 tomahawk am4 motherboard
Radeon HD 6770
WD 1 TB 7200 RPM
RYZEN 5 1500X with amd wraith cooler.
2 preinstalled case fans on the rosewill tyrfing case.

Please help me with some steps I can take to identify what happened :( I'm praying it's the PSU and when I order my new one this check it's going to fix the issue but I'm not sure.

Update: I went with the sos option since no troubleshooting through bios worked and deleted all my files to try a fresh install. My computer keeps shutting off through the installation preparation and gives me a new bsod message almost every time. I've reseated the ram and in one of the ways it was seated the bios wouldn't load at all. This was in the 1+3 slots. Tried 2+4 and they work. Don't know if this was a coincidence. Didn't backtrack and test again.

Fans stopped pulsing whenever I try to install w10 with the new slots i put the ram in. But it still blue screened whenever I try to fresh install. Maybe the HDD?

What exactly is that power supply? If it's not a reputable PSU, it very likely won't be able to do anything near 535W on the +12V rail. Which means that with a 280X (I think that's what you have installed, you were a bit unclear what the state of your PC is), you're over 300W at load, which can be a huge problem for one of those budget firestarters.

I tried to upvote your answer I'm really sorry it came out a downvote..

But that aside
I currently have a 535w in hooked up to a b350 tomahawk Mobo with a ryzen 5 1500x CPU, and an HD 6770 graphics card.

As I said it's hooked up to the Radeon HD 6770 currently.. NOT the 280x, I was waiting to get a 650w for that. I mentioned the 280x just to say that I was planning on replacing the PSU later anyway for it so I didn't think with my current new upgrades. (Mobo, ram and ryzen 5) that I needed to change to a higher wattage.

Got it. I'd actually try swapping out the PSU since you're getting the new one anyway; the power supply could simply have seen a capacitor go.

Could the PSU really make me blue screen when trying a fresh install and then reset? I feel like I have the symptoms of a bad psu maybe, yes, but the windows 10 issues are confusing? Unless it's related, is my HDD possibly screwed too?

Data can get corrupted in a sudden-off event. I'd worry about the PSU first and *then* worry if there's another issue. You're getting a new PSU anyway, so that swap doesn't actually cost you anything.

Alright. It just worries me because now it stopped pulsing whenever it shuts off, and the computer now resets and allows the usb to boot again every time it fails. Just up until I get to "preparing files for install" it blue screens, shuts off, then resets and allows me to boot the USB again. And almost every time it's a different bsod message.
Cache manager error,
Page error in nonpaged area, and another one I forgot that was more common.

But I'll check back after I install this new PSU in a few and if the problem persists I'll see with the community what I can do to check for another issue. Thank you!
