Hi all,

Im at my wits end. I cant for the life of me figure out where this lag is coming from. I never had this problem until recently, around 2 months ago while gaming or even using Google chrome the internet would drop for a millisecond but this was enough to really effect a game. the internet drops every few minutes and I have used my Task Manager to assure myself that my receiving speed is dropping for a brief moment when I experience this lag.

If anyone has any experience with this problem or a fix please let me know!

Thanks

Does this apply to only your computer and no other devices on the network? Have you added any new devices to your network? My assumption right now, given that you never had problems before, would be a recent Windows update isn't getting along with your drivers or your drivers updated and is buggy. Perhaps try rolling back your network driver, or even updating it.

Yeah this problem will also persist on my ipad or phone and will cause an internet page to crash or just not load and I will have to refresh it. ALSO I should have mentioned that for a brief while in between now and a few months ago the internet worked fine and this problem had stopped but it has returned. Thanks for your help I think I have already updated my drivers but I will check and redo!

Since this affects your other devices, this might be a router issue or DNS issue. Make sure you router is up to date and set use Google's or OpenDNS' servers in your router instead of your ISP's.
