Is it worth to go from 768p to 1080p? RX 570

I am currently trying to build a gaming pc, and since im on a low budget should i really spend the extra 103$ on buying a 1080p 21.5 inch screen or keep the 768p 19 inch screen for now?
Will games look way better on 1080p?

Main specs - Ryzen 5 1400 - RX 570

Maybe i should buy a 1050ti to squeeze some extra money for the screen? Will this graphics card perform decent in 1080p?

the 570 is a LOT stronger than a 1050 ti

if you want to go 1080p keep that card

Yes , 1080p is the right choice . You should NEVER have to play on a 768p screen EVER .

The gtx 1050 ti is amazing for 1080p at medium to high settings , try to look at some benchmarks online to get a more accurate measure of how well it will do in games.

I completely disagree - well kind of. Both 19 & 21.5 are small screens by todays standards and while 1080p does look better it will be far less noticeable at those screen sizes. Games will still look and run fine on your existing monitor.

What I would personally suggest for the best gaming experience is stick with the 19 inch for now and save up for a 24" (or bigger) 1080P so that you can really appreciate it. Ultimately size affects the experience at least as much as resolution does.

I've gamed for a lot of years and the upgrades I've had the best enjoyment from have always been getting a bigger screen but I don't think the jump from 19-21.5" is enough to make a big difference. Now jumping from 19-24 you'll definitely appreciate. These days I game at 27" and I'm considering going for an ultrawide 34" or a 32" QHD (2560x1440) for my next upgrade.

for 1440p you want a 27" monitor for the sweet spot on pixel density

for 1080p you want 24" or lower

Honestly that's a matter of preference and not a hard and fast rule. Also it depends how close you sit and how good your eyesight is. Looking at a screen yourself and deciding if you like it is probably always going to be the best option.

I have 1080 27" monitors and they are very nice. I have compared them to 1440P at the same size and yes it is better, but not as hugely so as some people would have you believe and once a game is playing it's not that easy to see the differences (except in GUI scaling for some games)

Also I don't sit close enough to see pixels and I don't find the text or icons too large the way some seem to. I wouldn't go any bigger than 27" on a desktop monitor without increasing the resolution personally but I also know people using a 32" 1080P screen and they seem perfectly happy with it. On top of which I game on a 60" plasma TV at 1080P occasionally from about 10 ft away and it's great.

So for me personally up to 27" on a desk 1080P is very good, from 27" upwards I'd prefer 1440, and 40" upwards I'd consider 4K - but not yet for me as I don't think graphics cards have quite caught up enough yet for 4K unless you can afford the very top end. Sitting on a couch I'm perfectly happy with 1080P on a 60"

not preference at all, has to do with pixel density

objectively better

yes, having bad eyesight would be an issue

but that doesnt change what is better

So it's better, doesn't make it the only option.
What you want is a personal choice

1080P at 27" is fine
1440P at 27" is better (never said it wasn't)
1080P is cheaper - often by quite a lot (1440P screens are ridiculous here in NZ, more than most 4K options)

Games on both resolutions on a 27" screen are fun to play and look very similar, 1080P does not look horrible by any means
So it comes down to how much price vs image quality matters to you personally.
Which translates to, wait for it, ..............

preference, period (made more sense before you edited your post, you know what I mean)

All of which is a bit of a sidetrack from my original recommendation which was to wait a bit and save for a 24" 1080P monitor. I did say or bigger but I wasn't being specific there.

If you are on a budget then I can tell you right now that you wouldn't be able to use a 1080p monitor to its full potential with those specs. Stick with your current monitor if you are comfortable with it and spend the extra money on a better PC. If you want more performance (Better FPS at higher quality) Then stick with your current monitor then you can consider buying a 1080p monitor in the future. Personally, the transition from 900p to 1080p for me wasn't that enjoyable. Sure, it looked sharper, but I lost a lot of performance. Best of luck!

I agree with the people saying if you're going to get a 1080p monitor, it should be ~24". Once you dip down to something like 21", you are kind of defeating the purpose of 1080p, assuming you have typical eyesight and are around the usual distance from the monitor.

In the original question, you did not say what your priorities are. If you want maximum framerate, then 768p with a 1050 Ti is the way to go. If you want maximum eyecandy, then a 23/24" 1080p monitor with the 1050 Ti is the way to go.

Since you are on a budget, getting maximum eye candy AND maximum framerate is not an option. That would require a 570 and the 1080p monitor.
