Should I get a better graphics card or processor?

I'm gaming on Linux with an older pc. I want to improve my fps on games such as CS:GO. My graphics card is a GeForce 9600 GT and my processor is a Intel® Core™2 Extreme CPU Q6850 @ 3.00GHz × 4
Which should I upgrade first in order to get the most fps?

gpu first, the 9600 gt is only capable of ~40 - 60 fps medium settings at 720p


get a rx 460 or gtx 1050


then look for a quad core compatible with your mobo, or get a aftermarket cpu cooler and overclock that dual core
