So....I'm not very savvy on harddrive issues like this..... and I may have already done more damage than good... But here's what happened.
Yesterday I was in the process of uninstalling extra crap on my storage HDD, and while uninstalling a 46gb game, the process more-or-less froze. By this I mean everything was still responsive, but the bar didn't move for over an hour. So I ctrl+alt+deleted and force closed the uninstallation, since I couldn't think of another option.
Welp...apparently I f__ed up lol. The next thing I notice a half hour later when trying to start a game, is that my entire storage drive is now showing as empty. 2.91 free of 2.91. So in a shaky panic I quickly read some articles via google and try to recover using Recuva. Well...after running all night, it certainly FOUND 750,000 files. But it was 750,000 files in D:/. No folders.
So now I'm lost and feel like I did more harm than good.
Not gonna cry if I can't save it.....but any ideas?
