Hey everyone!
I am fairly new to computer gaming, i was a console main. Not to say i dont have any computer knowledge. But i am running a Radeon RX 480 on an Asus M5 A97 R2.0 motherboard with 24gb ram (24560 mb) DDR3 1333Mhz and an AMD FX 8359 eight core processor. I am trying to learn how to optimize my settings in Bios and Radeon to get the most out of my gaming experience. I play a lot of Fps and my 2 mains are PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUND & Overwatch. Some WoW. What I am asking is if anyone can point me in the correct direction to overclock and maximize my settings for this type of gaming. I have certain times where Fps are good average on Overwatch 60 to 125 and PUBG 35 to 65 with sudden drops. From my Internet service provider I have the largest Internet package avaliable. So Internet connection is not a problem I have monitored that closely. I will include pictures of my current settings so you may see where to guide me. I am reall just looking for any spike in performance. Thank you everyone hope to hear from you soon

One thing you should always keep in mind when overclocking is to not exceed certain voltages. For the CPU you've got, for example, I wouldn't recommend any voltages above 1.4V, or you might kill your CPU.

Personally, as a beginner, I'd start raising the clocks of CPU & GPU (don't touch memory or GPU memory clocks first) in the smallest steps possible, while keeping the stock voltage. After each step, do a stress test to see whether it's stable and cool enough. Rinse, repeat until you got the max clocks you can achieve that way. After that, you can start overclocking the GPU memory (aka VRAM) using the same method. RAM however is a bit more complicated to overclock, and as I don't have much experience in that, I'd suggest to search for...

So I can not figure out how to post pictures from my phone I am going to try and see if I can from my computer if not I am always willing to dm on discord or any other messaging app to further my search for optimizing my system thank you again everyone

There are many things to "optimize" your gaming experience. The problem is that with pc, it doesn't work like pushing a button. Each setup is different and you may experience several problems as you dig up.
Changing the Radeon settings is not going to change much. What you may start tweaking with, is overclocking your gpu. A widely used software to overclock gpu is the MSI afterburner. Personally i am using Sapphire Trixx. Watch a couple of videos with how overclocking works and DON;T be in haste.
In bios you may be able to increase your ram frequency, in OC tweaker section. I suggest first you read enough before messing with ram though. I suspect your kits are 8+8=16gb plus 4+4 gb=24 gb of ram, which means you are using two different kits. This may result in having no post at all, or crashes and freezes if your try to overclock you ram. So for the timestick with the gpu.
Take it one by one, and start new threads as you comprehend more and more, ie, how to overclock my ram (specs), how to overclock gpu-cpu.
Always post your full specs to help others suggest you

Thank you both, I have been doing research on gpu overclocking over ram overclocking since yes right now I am running 2 8gb and 2 4gb cards. Which i have read could lead to instability. I am switching to 4 8gb cards on tuesday. I will also be posting all my specs and info once my computer has reset (in the middle of updating radeon and so on). I will also be reposting specs and the increments which I go up in while using wattman and if they pass or fail. I will also be looking into Msi afterburner since I have been reading a lot on it. I am starting to understand this is all trial and error until you get to that sweet spot depending on your set up. I am just trying to get as many pointers and tips before going to far and possibly causing a fatal error on my computer I can not come back from. Thank you again for the info anything else at all links, thoughts and comments are all welcome and very appreciated

The max clocks you can achieve will vary depending on the cooling solutions you have installed. Better cooling = higher clocks, obviously ;)

Finally, switching from 2x 8GB & 2x 4GB to 4x 8GB is not going to improve much if your previous config was stable. Unless of course you're adding the exact same 2x 8GB kit you already have, in which case it might help when you want to overclock it.

This is my third time posting this as my phone keeps failing to connect...

I have recently built a very similar rig and would love to know your end results and how you achieved them :)
