I need to put a CD drive into my PC, but all of them seem too long to fit into my case because there is a fan header that I don't use blocking it. My case is the Thermaltake Versa H15 and my motherboard is the MSI B250M Mortar. All optical drives I have seen on the internet are too long to fit into my 5.25 inch drive bay.
Before you tell me to get an external drive and put the front back on, I don't have it.
So is it safe to cut off the header pins with wire cutters in order to fit it in?
