PC starts over and over with new ram

Solution

Resetting BIOS just sets it back to factory settings on the current bios ver plus it will re configure ram (maybe trying to run the timings of your old ram) Most boards have a jumper to do this but you can as well take out the motherboard battery. Turn it off, unplug it hold down power button to discharge PSU caps and then either remove board battery or use the jumper as described in your mobo manual.

Mm, try taking them out, blow the dust out and when putting the ram back, make sure you press both sides at the same time, so both of these *click* sounds come at +- the same time.

My pc refused to start when i pressed 1 side of the RAM stick in and only after the 1st side is in place i pushed in the 2nd, so it might be the technique of insertion. (my opinion)

I will try again with putting the ram in but I did put it in correctly and I switched them to see if that was it as well. as for resetting the bios how would i do that and wouldn't that go back to factory as in wouldn't I loose my current bios version?
