GPU upgrade whats a good option?

Looking for a new GPU to go with this build (upgrading) my price range is around $400 AUD

What are your thoughts?

CPU - i7-4790K
RAM - 16G Kit 2133 (8Gx2) Corsair Vengeance
MOTHER BOARD - / Asus Z97-C
POWER SUPPLY - Corsair 80+ Platinum HX750i

And gets beat in the DX11. And is back and forth with Vulcan. But thats only maximum fps, which really doesn't mean much by itself, only in comparison to minimum frames and avg. frames. Basically the cards are equal, win some, loose some. GameE420 tossed out an AMD card, I tossed out an nvidia card. OP is able to make up his own mind, now knowing he's facing either an rx580 or gtx1060/6 for his budget.

@FM, no, it's not. The Rx5 series cards are nothing more than Rx4 series cards with tweaks to OC, and memory usage. Basically the same card, but better. AMD has been doing this for years.

And yes, if I was to go with a 580,id choose the Sapphire card, they have pretty much been the best with Amd overall, with not only performance but also with warranty /service & support that's almost equal to Evga. (in my experience anywsys)
