So, last time I built a rig was about 3 years ago and have been using it since, and I think it's time to upgrade. The general use is gaming and I'm on a budget.
Thus far my selected components are the following.
Motherboard: ASROCK B250 S1151 MATX PRO4
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 4x4GB 2400MHz DDR4 CL14
Or Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 2x8GB 2400MHz DDR4 CL14
Power Supply Unit: EVGA SuperNOVA GQ 650W
Graphics Card: MSI GTX 1060 Twin Frozr VI 6GB
Processor: Intel Core i5-7600, Quad Core, 3.50GHz, 6MB, LGA1151
Cooler: Cooler Master 212 evo
Storage: 1x Radeon R3 240 GB SSD, 1x 1TB 7200RPM HDD
As for the case, I was thinking Corsair Carbide 300R. However, question is, will the 212 Evo fit inside without obstructing the side panel fans?
EDIT: A friend of mine actually recommended I get the Fractal Design Define R4 instead of the Corsair Carbide 300R because it's supposedly better in terms of noise. Thoughts?
I also have some extra stuff, like a fan controller.
A thing with the PSU is that I have an old Tecnoware Core 550W PSU...well, it's not old per say, it's in mint condition, but I bought it like 5 years ago, for reasons I do not remember.
I could really use some feedback before I go through with the part purchases.
Also for the record, I already have the GPU and Storage.
