Will an Intel Pentium G4560 be enough for gaming, or is it really worth it to get an i5?

I have these parts picked out:

By Merchant: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/TomBriner/saved/Jgkt6h/by_merchant/

I am wondering if there is anything I missed or could change before I begin to order parts. It will be for playing games such as CS:GO, Minecraft, Modern Warfare 2, H1Z1, and possible GTA V and Battlefield One (I know the last two will probably need more RAM). I need to be confident in my parts list before I order because I do not want to have to deal with returns and/or selling parts because they were wrong. This will be my first build so I am sure something could be improved. Monitor recommendations are also welcome.
Budget Range: $500-$650 (Preferably under $600)
System Usage Needs: Gaming, general surfing

Minecraft and BF1 take a lot of CPU so, I'd say you need an i5 level of performance.
However, the i5's aren't as good for the money anymore.

I'd recommend an r5 1600.
For example (using your parts as a guide):

4.05GHz at 1.33V on the stock cooler WITH Latest BIOS update and 2666 MHz RAM. 81 °C after stress testing on the stock cooler.
Compared to i5 7500:

The 120GB SSD is barely enough for the OS and 1 Game. Get a 250GB SSD.

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1400 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($163.98 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: MSI - B350M GAMING PRO Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard ($78.88 @ OutletPC)

If this is still too much money, I'd say save a little longer and / or wait for Ryzen r3's to come out.

Also, I'd need more time to confirm if the RAM on this list is stable with that mobo / cpu. Gskill Flare X is good, but I didn't see a 2x4GB for it.
