Does it matter if we use 2 dual kit of memory that have difference "frenquency"?

Well atm i have 2 dual kit of corsair vengeance 1600mhz and my brother have 1 dual kit of corsair memory but at 2400mhz and he doesnt need it (i'm using 4x4 gb and he got a 2x8gb) so i was wondering will it affect anything if i use them so it make my pc using 2x4gb at 1600mhz and 2x8gb at 2400mhz ?

PS: Pretty sure i need to put those 8gb in the "main" ddr duo slot which are the "far" from cpu right? (Like 2/4 if we count from the cpu to the right side)

You didn't state the motherboard but I'm assuming it supports dual channel RAM because most do these days.

At best you'll lose the dual channel capability of the motherboard and end up with 24Gb of 1600MHz RAM in single channel mode. That's if they work together at all which they may not.

Unless you really need 24Gb of RAM because you were running out of RAM and the system was swapping to your disk drive, you'll be better off with only the 2X8Gb @ 2400MHz installed. That will also keep the dual channel mode active.

Check the motherboard manual for which RAM slots to use.

Oh so if i have 2 dual set ram and they doesnt have the same "frequency" they all will run at the "lowest" frequency set one? (1600mhz instead of 2400mhz?)

Correct. And you'll lose the dual channel feature so they won't be running at 1600 but at 800. The advertised 1600 speed is not the actual clock speed. The actual clock speed is 800 but it appears to run at 1600 when the dual channel mode is in effect.
