Looking to upgrade my ram. Really new at this, Don't know what to buy.

As recent games demand quite a lot of ram (PUBG,DOOM etc.) however I'm scared that my ram might not be compatible.

Windows 10 64 bit,
Intel i5-6500 CPU @ 3.20GHz.
Currently 8 GB Ram
Gigabyte, G1 Sniper B7

Also I Live in New Zealand

Hi, Intel Core i5-6500 is a Skylake processor which is using Intel 100-series motherboards. Yours has B150 chipset. These boards support only 2133 MHz DDR4 RAM. Check your 8 GB RAM stick for manufacturer (Kingston, Crucial, A-Data...) and latency (CL14, CL15, CL16 etc.). For the best compatibility it would be nice if at least latency would match.
