Title. Did this while trying to get one of those [problematic] intel stock processors out of the board. The rig now powers on for around 2 seconds, beeps and resets, then repeats. The CPU fan turns around 5-10 degrees then stops and rotates back.

I live in Liverpool and would really want to get this fixed. The board is an ASRock B85 Pro4.

Many thanks.

i would try getting all your hardware out and try to solder it. then keep expensive hardware out. put the stock cpu back in and try turning it on. if it runs and gets through basic function without error. put your parts back in and use it.
(using the basic cpu and parts is damage control. if things get shorted your parts can get destroyed)
