Hi, today we're going to install new cpu. More precisely from i3-6300 to i5-7600. The thing is should we unplug everything from mb before changing or it doesn't really matter? Haven't found answer to it. And what about the first switching on and bios? Anything very important that we shouldn't skip? Thanks

Solution
If you have 1xx chipset motherboard, first thing to do is to update BIOS - 7600 will not even start if you do not have correct BIOS. Do this BEFORE swapping CPU.
The only thing you HAVE to unplug, is power cable (or just turn PSU off). Other cables, if you need extra space for cooler installation. Either way, you have to check all the cables AFTER the swap, cos some of them might get loose during work.
Removing other components is also optional - do that if you need working space (cooler installation sometimes requires a bit of force, and bumping heatsink into RAM sticks is not good idea).

So when you ready, procedure goes like this:
>unplug power
>unplug cooler fan
>remove cooler
>clean thermal paste from heatsink
>open CPU slot and...

optional: remove thermal paste from old CPU if going to keep it/sell

So after doing all these things should i reinstall windows or not?

Depending on what components you changed. If only CPU, no real need to reinstall. But if you changed motherboard then doing clean Windows install is recommended. You might go away without it if you are lucky, but if you notice the system is working improperly/strange/slow/whatever not normal - you should reinstall.
