Ryzen 5 1600 or 1600x

Hi, does anybody know which of the ryzen 5 1600 and 1600x come with the rgb cooler is it only specific ones or do both of these

As stated by Barty1884, I'm pretty sure that all Ryzen 5/7 non-X processors come with a stock cooler, and I'm pretty sure they come with a Wraith Spire/Stealth (the 1600 comes with a non-LED Spire). I'm unsure which processors come with the Wraith Max (which they should be including with the X-based processors since it's a high performance/TDP cooler. >.>)

On the performance aspects of things, there's not much difference. The biggest notable difference between them is the TDP. The 1600 is a 65W TDP, while the 1600X, which is the Ryzen 5 flagship, has a 95W TDP. Same cache sizes, different clock speeds, etc. You get the idea.

If you're just looking at them objectively based on cooling solutions, you'd get the 1600 because it comes...

I got told the 1600 comes with the spire, the first rgb cooler

If you're just looking at them objectively based on cooling solutions, you'd get the 1600 because it comes with a cooler, while the X doesn't. And, really, you can overclock the 1600 to 1600X levels, so there's really no point in getting the X.

Edit: Doing a bit more research yielded that only the 1800X and 1700X come with the Wraith Max RBG cooler. :p

I opted for the 1600x over the 1600. Why? Benchmark tests foremost and that the base clock speeds are where the 1600 can get on a full OC curve. I've only had the 1600x a few days, but I did get it to 4.0 without having to adjust my voltage. I think there is a bit more in it yet. I had a great air cooler, so I just ported that over from my AM3+ build. I would rather have the faster base speed and not feel the need to OC. Personal preference.

If you are on a tighter budget, the 1600 is a fine choice with the cooler included. For $20-30 you can get a quality air cooler though, if you go for the 1600x. Budget and personal choice. Either way, you'll be happy.

$60 by the time you've added a cooler to the 1600x though in all fairness.
Then you've got the aggravation of finding if they actually come with a stock am4 bracket or you need to order one separately.

The gammaxx 400 is pretty much the only out of the box guaranteed one far as I know.
