So im trying to overclock my budget gaming build.
I got an asus a58m-a motherboard 1702 bios
Amd a10 5800k
Gtx 760
16gb ddr3ram
Hyper evo 212
Evga 600b psu

Ive disabled the apu graphics card and id like to overclock. My asus eufi bios is really odd has no apparent ability to manually set voltages or anything. Ive tried amd overdrive and whenever I hit apply i get a black screen then windows goes crazy logging in and out changing resolutions and giving me gray screens till i turn it off.
I figure with my components I should be okay to overclock... what am I doing wrong here? Let me know what info i can post to help determine the issue. Running windows 10 if helps.
The apu multiplier was grayed on auto and had no drop down menu I didn't realize I could type the value in manually. I can only adjust dram voltage manually though... still a bit confused.

I am sure you have been here, but I thought I would link it. https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/A58MAUSB3/HelpDesk_Download/

Software overclocking is iffy at best.

A static voltage is overrated. Is there at least an offset option? Is there an option to unlock overclocking in any part of the BIOS? I hear some vendors will provide custom BIOS on request, consider that a last resort before giving up.

Other than this, not much I can suggest right now. If it hasn't been 30 days, return the board and research a better one.
