Pc specs:
Corsair V motherboard
AMD fx 9590 4.7 ghz cpu
Gtx 1080
Corsair dominator platinum 16gGB RAM
Corsair h100i all in one cooling unit
Corsair 750d airflow edition case
Be quiet 1200w platinum rated psu

--------------------------------------------------

When I am running the majority of my games they close after 30-60 mins of gameplay, no error messages. I have wiped my hard drive and done a fresh install of windows (10), and installed the latest graphics drivers, but the problem is still occurring.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated ☺
Beth.

Hi . Do you have the temps again from the asus software just to compare .
I think i may have a solution , actually I have 2 but the second one is a bit drastic.
Solution 1 : In bios - Disable the C1 C6 states in the CPU settings . test after with game .
solution 2 : In bios disable cores 7 and 8 and test .
I know you don't want to loose 2 cores but it will help finding problem.

That Cpu is a beast and there are a lot of people with the same kind of issues .Some have solved the issues by turning off turbo in bios and reducing the multiplier to 20x with no real loss in performance .
If its not stable then you will need check voltage to cpu as increasing it slightly may give more stability.

It could be a few things really .
1 . After installing windows 10 did you try the motherboards website for the motherboard drivers (chipset driver is important).
2. Do you have any programs to monitor you temperatures?
3. are you using the correct bios for that Cpu version 1403 .
4. Due to the high TDP, please be noted there are limitations while using this CPU(i.e. special thermal required..)
5.You can use programs like Cpuz to find your bios version . You can use MSI afterburner or CPuid Hwmonitor to check your temps .
If you could post back with your temperatures and bios version and we can maybe find whats causing it.

1. I have checked in device manager and there is nothing that is not installed, I have also checked on the ASUS website and there are no chipset drivers for me to download.

2. I have used open hardware monitor to check the CPU and MOBO temps doing nothing it is idling at 32.8 degrees.

3. bios is on the latest version (2201) I have checked the ASUS website and there are no updates for the BIOS.

4. I have used arctic cool thermal paste on the CPU

I have ran far cry 3 and the cpu peaks at around 47 degrees, it has crashed previously while playing this.

Temp from cpu looks ok.
Have you tried ASUS AI Suite II from the motherboard site .It has monitoring software and more info for diagnosis.

CPU temp is 39 degrees idle, tried solution 1 PC crashed giving error "page fault in non paged area", I will try making the changes in bios and see if that helps. if not then I will try solution 2.
