Hi. I have problem with my low speed home internet. I am using wireless internet ( I am not connected with cable ). I called my ISP and they said that the max speed I can get is 3 mbps download. I refuse to believe what they say because on my mobile 4G internet I have 11 mbps download speed. I live 6 km ( 4 miles ) away from they city. But still how can my 4G internet be so much better then my home internet?

You're close to a city, so it seems natural to me that LTE/4G will have good reception, and thus be fast.
4G can reach pretty high speeds in general.

As to why your home internet is so slow: The max speed is determined by the cabling underground that makes up your connection. If those cables are old, they won't be able to transfer high speeds.

Only solution I could think of is you buying a 4G-capable router and asking your ISP for a 4G flatrate contract. That way, your home internet would also reach 11 Mbps. Note that this might be expensive though (but still less expensive than having the underground wiring remade.)

4G mobile network or LTE-Advance has the theoretical max download speed of 1Gbs. 300Mbs is totally possible on a not congested cell tower. Your wifi internet from the ISP is not the same. Mobile network are not based on wifi. So your shitty ISP might just be able to provide 3Mbs over their wifi network.

I would get a unlimited plan of some sort from your mobile provider if they are faster.

Thanks for your advice ZRace. I want to ask you how much money is this 4G-capable router? Here what I found on my ISP website:

Those 4G sticks you linked are all USB sticks, meaning you'll only have the home internet on the one device in which you plug it in. If you only have one device (e.g. a computer), that's fine.

If you want to use that 4G connection on several devices, however, you'll need a proper LTE-capable router. In that router, you'll have to insert a special SIM card. If you order a LTE flat at your ISP, they should give you the option to only get the SIM card without a device to use it in, and you'll insert that SIM card into your router.
Unless, of course, your ISP offers a 4G-capable router (not stick!). Then you can use/order that one if you want.

Here's a list of 4G-capable routers I'd recommend, though I can't say anything about availability in your country:

1. AVM Fritz!Box 6810, 6820, 6840 or 6842 LTE, depending on your needs and budget, are the ones I'd recommend most.
2. TP-Link TL-MR6400 or TL-MR3220 (latter is low budget and not that recommendable)
3. Zyxel LTE3301 or SBG3600-N (good, but rather expensive)

If you need more detailed information, feel free to ask.

Edit: Thanks to whomever downvoted me for my first post (???)
