Recently, my Dell Inspiron N5110 has stopped working by making 2 beeps. I then searched for which error is that. It appeared it is "No RAM DETECTED" error. Then I tested my two RAM(2GB and 4GB) on working computer and found just 2GB is working. But things got interesting then: I inserted the working RAM from working computer to my computer to test whether everything is okay. And again computer wont start. Is it possible the RAM slot and RAM damaged at the same time? What can be the problem with RAM slot? I would appreciate if anybody will help me. Thanks!

My 2 GB RAM has succesfully worked on my friends working computer but not 4GB one. So this means his RAM should also work on my Dell laptop, isnt it? And what if I order and insert the original Dell RAM to damaged slot and this new RAM will again be damaged...?
