You have a gigabyte motherboard. Contact gigabyte to get the board RMA'd. It is under warranty. They will replace it for you. Just because you had someone look at the "pci-e slot pins" doesn't mean they know anything about fixing a motherboard. Those pins are just one of many factors that could be causing the problem. When you have a warranty and your product doesn't work, you should make use of it.

You may have a bent CPU pin which happens to correlate with the x16 - would be unlucky, but it's certainly possible. I would reseat the CPU initially, and clear the CMOS.

As an FYI, that Huntkey is an accident waiting to happen

You should probably be fine with your current system (probably 200W or so max draw), but I would suggest you replace sooner than later - especially if you're going to be upgrading your GPU.

I really doubt that, I was super careful when installing the cpu, could be though, but if so that would be horrible...
Ill try an older gpu that ill borrow from a friend on the 16 slot, could it be that the psu isnt powerful enough for the 16 slot, or that there is a problem with the mobo?

Yes, in my old motherboard (asus p5p43td pro) it worked completely fine in the 16x pcie slot it has, however it was a pcie 2.0 slot.

However according to nvidia the card supports 3.0, so there really shouldn't be any problems...

I took the cpu to the store I got it from and they checked the pins, they're completely fine (sigh of relief)
Tried clearing the cmos, didn't work :/

Ill prob get a coolermaster 80$ PSU in the near future, any other ideas on how to fix the problem?
