Hello there everyone!

I am looking at building my own AMD Ryzen PC and feel a bit lost as to where to start. I will be using it for light editing (video), heavy gaming, dual booting a linux system, coding, graphics editing, and VR. I would like a tempered glass case and LED everything (because I am vain).

The graphics card I plan to use is the RX580 before the new Vega architecture drops. I will be using the adobe suite for the editing. I am unsure of what software I will need and OS is best to use.

Anyways, I am looking for suggestions and if you have questions please let me know! I would like to stay under $2500.

Thank you kindly!

Solution

I work with modeling, photoshop, and editing. While 24GB would be good its best to get 3200 RAM speed for Ryzen and 16GB's is enough. I would suggest waiting on more as prices are up a good deal on RAM. May be better priced around black friday. I payed $80 for my 16GB upgrade a year and half ago.

I suggest holding off till the early june launch of Vega. Dont waste the money on the 580 but get the little Vega a match to the 1080.

Thank you for clarifying: The whole set up w/ multiple monitors. I am not sure I can justify the 1800X however I am not opposed to it as well.
